Current Students

Sophomore Professional Writing major Michelle Rochniak was selected as one of four Connecticut Poetry Circuit poets for 2022.

Senior Professional Writing major Amanda Badillo (Class of ’22) has signed with the Harvey Klinger Literary Agency for representation of her first book, Vampires are the Worst, a young adult novel.

 

Alumni

Benjamin Chase (MFA ’18) placed his first book of poems for publication with Kelsay Books.

Val DonFrancesco (BA ’17) is a Marketing Manager at the National Organization for Rare Diseases.

Ron Farina (MFA ’20) has two books scheduled for publication in 2022. At the Altar of the Past, a novel, will appear in April from Adelaide Books, and an anthology, The Language of Women: Voices of America’s Wounded Women Warriors, will appear in May from La Grange Books.

Will Hogan (Class of ’21) is studying in the graduate journalism program at Syracuse University Newhouse School of Communications.

Kimberly Janvier (BA ’16) is a content manager for Cigna.

Christina Kinsella (BA ’15, MFA ’17) is a Content Editor at Digiday.

Chris Lombardo (BA ‘14) is a Team Lead and Senior Analyst for IBISWorld.

Briana McGuckin (MFA ’20)—sold her first novel, On Good Authority, to Thomas & Mercer, to be published in 2022.

Cara Miele (MFA ’15) is a digital freelancer working with clients that include Poetry magazine.

Erik Ofgang’s (MFA ’14) most recent book is The Good Vices.

Ian Peterkin (MFA ’13) will attend the University of Southern Mississippi for the PhD in Creative Writing.

Jennifer Powers (MFA ’14) will attend Binghamton University for the PhD in English/Creative Writing with full funding.

Audrey Redpath (BA ’21) is studying in the graduate journalism program at Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at New York University.

Ron Samul (MFA ’07) is Assistant Director of the Thames Academy and Director of Communications and Technology at Mitchell College.

Dana Sheehan (MFA ’14) is an Assistant Professor at Godwin University.

Allisa Silber (BA ’15) is a Features reporter at the Newtown Bee.

Beth Turley’s (MFA ’16) third book from Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers, The Flyers, will appear in Summer 2021.
