Internship
One of the goals of our program is to provide students with practical, hands-on experience in their chosen field. Internships may include teaching creative and/or professional writing in secondary schools, colleges/universities, and/or in the local community at libraries, senior centers, shelters, or correctional facilities.
Students interested in pursuing writing positions after graduation might complete an internship at a nonprofit organization, a commercial magazine, or a book publisher or press, where they’ll develop their skills as grant writers, technical writers, speech writers, or copyeditors. The MFA Coordinator works closely with each student to develop an internship that aligns with their academic and professional goals.
