How to Register for CLEP
1 – Find Out Your College’s CLEP Policy
To find out if your college accepts CLEP, use the CLEP Search tool. Each college sets its own policy: It decides which CLEP exams it will grant credit for and how many credits it will award. Before registering for a CLEP exam, be sure to check with your admissions officer, academic advisor or test center administrator to learn more about your institution’s CLEP Policy.
2 – Decide Which Exam(s) to Take
Read the exam descriptions of all 34 exams to find the right one for you.
3 – Register with WCSU Testing Services
I. Test Date: Select a test date from WCSU Testing Center HOME page.
CLEP exams are only offered on dates posted on main page. You may register up to 3 exams on the same test date depending on space or session availability.
II. TESTING REGISTRATION FORM: Complete online, print, sign and mail or drop off your completed registration form along with the required fee payable to WCSU. The registration form will not be accepted without payment. Once the completed registration is received, you will receive a detailed confirmation letter with important information via email prior to selected test date. It is your responsibility to follow up with the test center if you have not received confirmation prior to the test date.

6 – Score Reports
College Level Exam Program (CLEP) does all the scoring and reporting of scores, the Testing Center is only responsible for administering the test.
You’ll receive your score report instantly after completing the exam — with the exception of the College Composition which takes three to four weeks to deliver. The official transcript will be mailed directly to the college, employer or certifying agency that the candidate indicated before initiating the exam. It is imperative that candidates know the score recipient name and address to prevent delay of their score report. It can take 3-4 weeks before your CLEP transcript appears on your WCSU transcript.
