"During my time at WCSU I majored in Social Work and was an RA in Grasso Hall. Since graduation I went on to get my Master’s in Social Work at Fordham University in 2015. I immediately found my niche working with children and families who have experienced loss and trauma. I have worked in Residential Treatment Centers in Westchester County, New York, for the past seven years. For five of those those seven years I have worked with children ages 6 to 18 who have a range of diagnoses at ANDRUS Children’s Center in Yonkers.. I was recently promoted from a Residential Clinician to the Director of Admissions for the campus and have joined a group therapy practice where I will be providing individual therapy to children and families. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t miss being at WCSU. I learned so much about community and myself. It was an absolutely amazing experience. Happy 120 Years!"

I transferred to WCSU from UCONN Storrs and I was amazed by how much better the education and teaching styles WCSU offered were in the Ancell School of Business. I was lucky to witness and be a part of the accounting program receiving accreditation status and see firsthand the excellence that was expected of me as a student. The classroom sizes are smaller than that of the big universities and colleges, and the education and networking opportunities gave me all of the tools necessary to excel upon graduation.
