Ryan CookeB.A. Social Work, '14
Client Success Specialist at Indeed
"WCSU's incredible Social Work program granted me the tools to follow my passion and better help people in my day-to-day activities. My co-curricular involvement encouraged me to hone my focus more on students, and given my heavy involvement in Housing & Residence Life, I pursued a master's degree in Higher Education Administration and acquired a Residence Director job at Post University, which I did alongside teaching a College Success course to first year students. After a few years, I was excited to return to my first love, WCSU, as a Resident Director, and I strived to provide the same positive experience that I had for others. After a few years of helping students graduate and transition into the workforce, I joined Indeed as a Client Success Specialist where "I help people get jobs" (it's so much more than just a slogan). The tools that WCSU taught me have helped me along this journey, and I hope that my actions have and continue to truly make a difference to others. Most importantly, WCSU gave me true happiness. It was there that I met the love of my life: Danielle Scarmella (BA in Social Work, Class of '13). Almost 12 years later, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary renewing our vows in Mexico (this picture). Thank you for everything, WCSU!"
