Biographical Information

Dr. Harris is a graduate of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale she received her Bachelors Degree in Social Work, a Bachelors of Science Degree in Administration of Justice, and a Masters of Social Work Degree.  She received her Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa.  Dr. Harris is a child welfare practitioner that has served as a child welfare consultant and a quality assurance reviewer.   Her areas of research include child welfare practice and policy, social work education, and HIV infection among older African-Americans.
