Advising for Psychology majors

Meeting with your advisor

You can find the name of your advisor, as well as your registration date, on WestConnduit – click on Banner, then Student Services, then Check My Registration Status.

Schedule a meeting with your advisor well in advance of your registration date. Because courses can fill up quickly, you’ll want to have your schedule ready by your registration date. The sooner you register, the more likely it is that you’ll be able to take the classes you want.

It’s a good idea to arrive at your meeting with a tentative list of classes that you would like to take. You can view the graduation requirements you’ve already met and those that you still have to meet on DegreeWorks. Your advisor will give you a registration PIN that you’ll use to register online. You’ll get a different PIN each semester.

Once you’ve picked your classes and have your PIN, you’re ready to register! If you’re not sure how to do so, this video walks you through the process.
