New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) 5-Year Interim Report
At this site, the campus can review the materials from the 2013 10-Year Reaccreditation Visit as well as the Five-Year Interim Report which was submitted to the New England Association for Schools and Colleges (NEASC) on August 15, 2018. In the report, we have provided information about each of the nine standards (Standard 8: Reflective Essay) and detailed our progress on areas identified in our reaccreditation letter, dated June 4, 2014. These areas include:
- achieving goals for enrollment, retention, and graduation as assurance of financial stability
- assessing student learning outcomes of the general education core competencies and all majors and using the results to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
- continuing to evaluate the impact of governance changes in the State of Connecticut on the University
- implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of the institution’s strategic plan
- assuring rigor of courses and sufficiency of faculty to advise in the Ed.D. in Nursing Education; implementing program evaluation strategies and assessing learning outcomes of the Ed.D. in Nursing Education
The campus was provided with two opportunities to read and comment on the draft of the report which contributed to its improvement. Within six months, we will receive a letter from the Commission about the Five-Year Interim Report and the specific areas we will need to focus on as we prepare the 2023 Self-Study for our next 10-Year Reaccreditation Visit.
