In Spring 2023, Professor Sabrina Marquez held a Kathwari Honors event with Fritz Horstman, Education Director at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation. Kathwari Honors Students attended a 2-hour color workshop exploring color phenomena like simultaneous contrast and the illusion of transparency.

Students then put their learning to the test, creating colorful artworks for use in Horstman’s book Interacting with Color, which explores Josef Albers’s color pedagogy. The book is now available for purchase.
