This course will offer students an opportunity to delve more deeply into some of the ethical issues underpinning climate change now, and in the future, which extends to political philosophy, particularly on the topics of political will and political responsibility. Phenomena such as warmer temperatures, extreme flooding, storms, wildfires, drought, water scarcity, forced displacement, migration, etc. are just some of the issues confronting us now, and which will only exacerbate over the years. The course will also include understanding what human and non-human flourishing means particularly in a context of sustainability.
