Description: Orientation Leaders will serve as a contributing member of the Orientation Team. Orientation Leaders are initial contact persons to new students and their families. As such, they have an opportunity to contribute to the positive experience the new students and their families have during orientation and throughout the entire college experience at WCSU. The Orientation Leaders display exemplary behavior and understand the impact they have on the new students and their families, before, during and after orientation. It is expected that Orientation Leaders will become a team through their training and will demonstrate teamwork through the execution of their duties. They will be sincerely interested in the welfare of the WCSU community; consequently, they must be constructively supportive by actual involvement in the total college experience. Orientation Leaders will continue to serve new students by participating in periodic events throughout the academic year.
Requirements: Student returning for upcoming academic year as an undergraduate student. Have comfort addressing groups of people (students, families, faculty, etc.) Possess a 2.0 cumulative grade point average at point of application through summer. (No one may hold an Orientation Leader position while on academic or disciplinary probation.)
Hours/Schedule: Hours vary through the Summer term
Pay Rate: Stipend
