ACCOUNTING SOCIETY PRESENTS DANBURY VITA WITH MARILYN O’SHEA: Join the Accounting Society in a guest presentation with Marilyn O’Shea and Danbury VITA! VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) offers free tax preparation for individuals and families with tax opportunities for students. From 4 to 5 p.m. in Room 212/214 of the Westside Campus Center.
This is an excellent opportunity to meet with the local Danbury chapter and hear about the program as well as volunteer opportunities (great for Accounting Majors!) VITA is a program that offers free tax help to low-income individuals, providing students with hands-on experience in tax preparation. Volunteering with VITA is valuable for students as it enhances their practical accounting skills, builds their resumes, and fosters a sense of community service. It also offers an opportunity to network with professionals while making a tangible difference for those in need. We look forward to seeing you and some participating professors may offer extra credit for your support.
