Event Logistics and Operations (ELO) Information
-
WHAT IS ELO?
- The ELO (EVENT LOGISTICS AND OPERATIONS) Committee was formed to assist WCSU students, clubs, departments, and organizations with planning large events. We gather all on-campus service providers in one room, to listen to the details of your upcoming large event. Then, based on the experience of each service provider, we provide feedback, suggestions, and support to the event organizers. This allows the event organizer to receive a “one-stop shopping” experience, where all of their event needs can be met. The following service areas are represented:
- Event & Conference Management
- Center for Student Involvement
- Assistant Dean of Student Affairs
- Sodexo Dining Services
- Media Services
- University Police
- Box Office
- Environmental, Facilities & Services
- Visual & Performing Arts Center
- Campus & Student Centers
-
Meetings are every other Thursday at 11 am during the Fall and Spring semesters.
- A “Large Event” is classified as meeting one or more of the following criteria:
- Tickets are being sold
- Alcohol is being served
- Multiple venues are being used
- A large group of attendees is expected
- Guests are invited from off-campus
- Security or Police presence is requested or required
- Personal Service Agreements needed (DJ, lecturer, contract, etc)
- Event type: party, dance, concert, rally, car show, carnival, festival, expo, fair, homecoming, day of service, accepted students day, orientation, etc.
