Biographical Information
Dr. Mariotti began his career as a Counselor in Italy, working for underserved populations such as drug addicts. This experience motivates him to develop prevention programs, especially for at-risk adolescents. He was the Clinical Coordinator for a Center for at-risk adolescents’ in Italy for more than ten years. His passion for helping and supporting young generations leads him to earn a doctorate in Counseling and supervision in the US. His doctoral studies in Counseling allowed him to do research on the Counseling profession identity in Italy while actively contributing to the Counselor certification process in Italy. Dr. Mariotti transitioned into counseling education in the US while he was the Director of a School for professional counselors in Italy. His research currently focuses on Interprofessional education, Social determinants of health, and how technologies impact the mental field, such as telemental health, Artificial intelligence, and Virtual and Augmented reality.
