Minority Recruitment and Retention Resources

MISSION STATEMENT

With members of the committee appointed by WCSU’s President, and working in conjunction with the Office of Diversity and Equity, the two minority recruitment/retention committee(s) endeavor to make available in any way it can to achieve the University’s goal of recruiting and retaining new faculty from underrepresented group(s).

According to the Collective Bargaining Agreements for SUOAF and AAUP, the role of the Minority Recruitment and Retention Committee(s) are to assist search committees and employees in their recruitment and retention of minorities, women and other protected groups, as well as support academic departments and/or divisional department(s) in the retention of said individuals. See the following reference(s) for:

Articles 3 and 12: 3.4.1; 3.4.2; and 3.44; 12.10.3 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement sections for Connecticut State University (“CSU”) American Association of University Professors (“AAUP”) and the WCSU AAUP Chapter.

Article 22.6 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement sections for the Connecticut State University (“CSU”) State University Organization of Administrative Faculty (“SUOAF”) and the WCSU SUOAF Chapter.

  • Chief Diversity Officer, Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (Ex-officio Advisor/Committee Organizer)
