MFA in Visual Arts
The Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts is a terminal degree and is the preferred degree for the practicing artist who is preparing for a professional career in the visual arts. The objective of the program is to strengthen the development of each individual artist by providing a period of consistent, focused studio practice under the guidance of established professionals. Student work is evaluated through a series of individual and group critiques with resident faculty and visiting artists. MFA degrees are available in painting, illustration and interdisciplinary visual art.
The MFA in Visual Arts program of Western Connecticut State University is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design
