Illustration
Jack Tom is an award winning graphic designer, illustrator and educator. He has taught graphic design and illustration at New York University, Syracuse University, Marywood University, Fairfield University, University of New Haven, Norwalk Community College and is Assistant Professor of Illustration at Western Connecticut State University.
Originally from San Francisco, Jack moved to New York City in 1977 and enjoyed a successful career as a staff designer/art director at McCall's Magazine, CBS (with the legendary Lou Dorfsman), and Business Week magazine. These positions led him to work with some of the best illustrators and photographers in the industry. He has served as President for the Connecticut Art Directors Club, Board Member/Advisor with three Illustration Conferences (ICON3, 4 & 5) and an active Board Member with the AIGA-CT.
