Please join us at The Judy Black Memorial Park and Gardens on December 7th for a WCSU faculty/alum art exhibition opening reception! The Space Between will feature work from eight alumni and three faculty members, all from WCSU’s renowned MFA program: professors Riley Brewster, Rob Nadeau and Sabrina Marques, and MFA alumnae Lucy Gallagher, Kelsey Gilmore, Lilah Heyman, Aimee Jette, Megan Marden, Sarah Stewart, Erin Walrath and Janet Warner.
Sculptural form, realism, and abstraction help highlight the range of work and diversity in this exhibit. The overall goal, though, is to better understand the metaphorical and literal practices that go into creating artwork. The work aims to further aid in bettering understanding liminal spaces, blurring the lines in a manner of speaking, amongst these artistic mediums. Each piece tells its own unique story and helps create a larger narrative on the subject matter as a whole.
The opening reception will be from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The exhibition itself will remain on view through December 22nd. Please check their social media pages for weekly for hours of operation (@judyblackpark on Instagram and Facebook).
