Virtual Portfolio Day
Free portfolio review for high school and college transfer students interested in pursuing higher education and careers in Art & Design.
The Western Connecticut State University Department of Art will offer an opportunity for high school and college transfer students interested in the fields of art and design to have their artwork reviewed by members of the WCSU art faculty during a “Portfolio Review Day” zoom meeting from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020.
Register to schedule your individual 20 minute time-slot. After registration, participants will be sent an email with a link to the Portfolio Review Zoom meeting and details about submitting portfolios as a single multi-page pdf.
On Dec 5th participants will Zoom meet individually at their selected time slot with professional artists who teach at WCSU. Faculty members will critique portfolios to provide feedback and guidance on works presented and also will be prepared to discuss professional career opportunities in art and design, as well as specific concentrations for study in the Art Department’s Bachelor of Arts program.
Admission is free and advance registration is required; reservations may be submitted online at https://wcsuvpac.eventbrite.com. Attendance is not only encouraged for high school and college transfer students interested in the fields of art and design, but parents, teachers, and guidance counselors are welcome to sit in as well.
Limited time slots are available. A waitlist will be available for those who were not able to register for a time slot and if there is enough time they may be taken at the end or if enough are on the list, a second review session may be scheduled.
