Marcos Chin is an award-winning illustrator who graduated from Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, Canada. His work has appeared as textile and surface designs, on book and CD covers, advertisements, fashion catalogues, and magazines. He has given lectures and workshops throughout the US and abroad and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. He has taught at MICA in Baltimore and has been teaching at the School of Visual Arts in NYC since 2006.
Some of Chin’s clients include Target, Starbucks, HBO, Michael Kors, Google, Time, GQ, and The New York Times. In 2013, his illustration “Grand Central Catwalk” appeared in NYC subways, celebrating Grand Central Terminals’ Centennial year, through MTA’s Arts for Transit program. Chin has received gold and silver medals from the Society of Illustrators, NY, and a Gold Medal from the Society of Publication Designers. He has published books with Harper Collins and Viking Books, and has had gallery exhibitions of his work in NYC, Mexico, and Amsterdam.
