Weather Center : WCSU’s Weather Team

Frank Notarbartolo

From as early as seven years of age, Frank has had a passion for weather. He has always wondered why things happen the way they do in our atmosphere.  Determined to find answers, Frank decided, around the time of middle school, that he would pursue his passion all the way and installed an elaborate weather station on the family home to track and predict storms.  As a high school junior Frank job shadowed at the National Weather Service (NOAA) in Upton, NY with Gary Conte. He followed that by sitting in on a senior broadcast meteorology class at WestConn where students were having their weathercast videos critiqued.   Frank enrolled at WestConn as a meteorology major and is now in his fourth year. He has been working as a data collector and forecaster in the WestConn Weather Center since his freshman year. Frank especially enjoys developing his broadcast skills every Monday with the WestConn Weather Team. His ultimate goal is to become a respected and renowned broadcast meteorologist.
