EAP Summer Orientation 2015

Letter to Students/Parents (referential)

Dear Student/Parent:

Welcome to WestConn! The Admissions Office has informed me that you have been accepted into the Educational Achievement and Access Program (EAP), and I look forward to meeting with you and your family member during housing check-in, and EAP orientation on June 24th.

Students are scheduled to check-in to Litchfield Hall on Sunday, June 21st, 2015 at 1:00 PM. We will have EAP orientation for all students and parents on Sunday starting at 4:30 p.m. Classes will begin on Monday, June 22nd and end on Friday, July 24th. (Five-weeks). Students are required to live on campus during the week and leave on all weekends, and leave on Friday's by 12:00pm.

For your stay in Litchfield Hall please bring bedding for a twin bed, towels/wash cloths, shower clogs, hangers, a lamp, and other important items to make your stay comfortable. Litchfield Hall, located on the Midtown Campus is not air-conditioned, so you may want to bring a fan, but air-conditioners are not allowed. In addition, please leave the televisions, boom boxes and stereos at home! A small clock radio is recommended and acceptable. Laptops and personal computers are allowed in the dorms, but at your own risk and liability. WestConn is not responsible for anything lost or stolen. (Please visit the webpage for the housing department for more details on residence hall regulations and policies.)

In addition, students should have submitted appropriate SAT scores or taken required placement tests in English or Math, applied for financial aid and submitted supporting documentation to the Financial Aid Office

If you do not plan to attend the summer program, please call or contact my office immediately. No students will be allowed into the program after the June 21st Orientation. If there are any special/emergency conditions that may prevent you from attending/arriving on June 21st, please call immediately to see if an arrangement can be made. Due to escalating program costs, all students are required to cover the cost for their books.
