                The tests will be held in room SB 164 on all dates listed above

What to bring?
                A scientific calculator and a pen or pencil

Required time for the test?
                You will have 45 minutes to complete the test

How do you sign up for the test?
                Any student who wishes to take the test must sign up AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF THE TEST by calling (203-837-8669) OR by signing up on the sign up sheet outside room 178 in the Science Building.

Who needs to take the test?
                Students wishing to register for PHY 110 and PHY 120

How do I prepare for the test?
                The test will consist of 50 multiple choice questions from the following areas:

What happens if I did not do sufficiently well on the placement test?

                This test is designed for students with one full year of high school algebra and one full year of college preparatory high school physics. Students who do not receive a passing grade on this examination will be advised to register for “Fundamentals of Physics” (PHY 103). The latter course is a one semester course designed for the student who is under prepared to take PHY 110, General Physics (Calculus based) or PHY 120, General Physics (non-calculus based).

PHY 103, Fundamentals of Physics will be offered Summer II, 2015.
