Your WCSU Criminal Justice Bachelor of Science degree leads you to a career in law, public service, social systems or private enterprise. Our major courses and our five options (law enforcement, Corrections, Probation, Parole, and Offender Rehabilitation, criminology, legal studies, and homeland security) provide a broad base of knowledge for future justice professionals.

WCSU’s JLA program has a long, proud history of graduating students with a wide variety of career options. We have life-long industry professionals including both full-time and part-time faculty, teaching small classes that help you learn and succeed. Our courses emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving and reasoning while focusing on skills such as analysis, synthesis, problem recognition and communication.

Graduates from our JLA program achieve careers in federal, state and local law enforcement, the legal profession, corrections services, social service agencies, private security, education, probation and parole departments, other offender rehabilitation careers, public administration, homeland security, private security and fraud investigation.

Our JLA program also provides you a solid foundation to pursue further studies in law school and other graduate schools.
