Event Information
Western Connecticut State University will hold its 127th Commencement Exercises for Graduate and Undergraduate students on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the Total Mortgage Arena, 600 Main St., Bridgeport, CT. The ceremony will begin promptly at 11 a.m. and will conclude at approximately 1 p.m. More information will be sent to all eligible graduating students at the beginning of the spring semester.
Who is eligible to participate in the 2025 Commencement?
Bachelor candidates: If you are eligible to graduate in December 2024, January, May or August of 2025, make sure you apply for graduation through the Registrar’s office or visit their website to get information and the application at: Graduation – Office of the Registrar (wcsu.edu)
Master candidates: If you are eligible to graduate in December 2024, January, May or August of 2025, make sure you apply for graduation through the Graduate Studies office or visit their website to get information and the application at: Application for Degree Form – Office of Graduate Studies (wcsu.edu)
Doctoral candidates: You will be eligible to graduate upon the completion of your dissertation defense and the approval of your Doctoral Advisory Committee.
How many guest tickets will I receive?
Guest ticketing will not be determined until early spring when we are given the preliminary number of potential graduates. Once this is known we can determine each student’s ticket allotment.
Historically we have given each graduate 6 guest tickets, as we get closer to the ceremony dates, we have been able to provide additional tickets to graduates as we receive RSVPs. Our ceremony is also live streamed and recorded should not enough tickets become available.
