Department of Art Alumni
Sylvia Reppin '94
Sylvia Reppin is the Spanish Interpreter for the Danbury Board of Education. She continues to show her artwork and received first place in acrylic, and a few second places for sculpture, collage and white and black photography at Richter Association for the Arts.
Besides acting as interpreter during the past 5 years for all public schools in Danbury, she also does Spanish translations of their activities, and regulations. She was an assistant teacher this past semester in Algebra I and Pre-Algebra.
Her hobbies include gardening and her latest discovery is the digital camera. It allows her to warp, modify, magnify and do whatever her imagination chooses with the photos she takes, some of which will be translated into paintings.
Sylvia is hoping to return to WestConn for the MFA program.
