Judy Perry '88
Since graduating from Western in 1988 Judy Perry has worked in galleries and other arts organizations. She has been a consultant to other artists and has been involved in the picture framing industry.
She received her MFA in 1996 from Vermont College and has been exhibiting her paintings for more than fifteen years. Her work is many private collections throughout the New York area, Boston, New Mexico, Wyoming and Maine.
Since 1996 she has been developing, creating and producing public programs and her own projects. In 1997 Judy was awarded a grant for a four week residency at The Vermont Studio Center and she was commissioned in 1998 to design and create the set for a dance project with Barnspace Productions in New York.
Judy moved to Maine in the summer of 2001 where she continues to paint and develop new projects. Among them 'Artists and Writers in their own words' is a bi monthly series of interviews published by Inner Tapestry, a holistic journal in Mid-Coast Maine. Coming soon, Judy will provide an electronic newsletter exploring art and the creative life.
