Returning Students - Fall Room Selection

For a quick review, check this out: Fall 2024 Room Selectionsopens PDF file

All room selection will be done online, utilizing The Housing Director (THD) software from Adirondack Solutions.  This system is also in use at Central, Eastern, and Southern, and we’re happy to have  a system that will make everything easier for you!

Although room selection is completed for the fall for current students, here's the outline for the general process:

  1. Pay your housing deposit by March 20th. Once you’ve paid your deposit;
  2. Wait 6-12 hours. Once that time has passed, log in to the Housing Portal on the FORMS page of the Housing website.  The Housing Portal is the top left button on the page.  (You can also click the Room Selection button to the left to be taken there now.)
  3. The Housing Portal link will deliver you to a Self-Service THD page.  There, you will be able to log in and begin the process there by selecting…
  4. Applications (on the left menu).  This will open your application.  Complete the application, making sure to fill in all of the required information. Don't wait to the last minute!  Applications must be completed by the end of the day on March 22nd (*If you don't see the left menu, look for the ≡ button near the top left, click it, and the left menu will appear).
  5. You will then be able to return to the main menu page, and may start to identify the roommate(s) you’d like to live with.
    1. Please NOTE:  You will ONLY be able to select the roommate(s) of your choice if they have already deposited and completed their application(s), but you can take time to remind them, and then go back in to add them to your request once they’ve completed their own deposit(s) and application(s).
  6. You’ll receive further instructions for the actual room selection process.  Please be sure to check your email regularly.
  7. Be patient!  There are loads of things behind the scenes to prepare for all of this, and lots of questions you may have.  We’ll work it all out, and we do think you’ll love the greater flexibility this system will give you.

Please let us know if you have questions.
