WCSU RESEARCH DAY: This showcase of undergraduate and graduate research, scholarship, and creative inquiry projects will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Ives Concert Hall. If you are just interested in research, or not yet sure what you want to do in your future career, it is a great opportunity to learn about the interesting work being done in a variety of fields by students like you right here at WCSU. It’s also a good way to meet other students who share your passions and interests. Projects are submitted from students from a whole range of fields including biology, psychology, education, chemistry, English, and history. There are also two keynote speakers who are both graduates from WCSU.
Keynote Speakers: Gill Simmons is a meteorologist who will be talking about humanizing the science of weather, and Dr. Brittany Baisch is a toxicologist who will be talking about methods for making safer decisions in her field.
If you can’t make it for the whole time, that’s ok. You can always stop in for the student poster sessions or the keynote speakers.
