Charlie Chatterton, professor of Health and Physical Education at Eastern Connecticut State University, will run a 26-lap marathon around the WestConn Midtown campus, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the White Street Gate, to raise awareness about the number of people who live in poverty in the United States. A panel including faculty from the department of biological and environmental sciences and members of the Candlewood Lake Authority, the Candlewood Lake Users and Boaters Association, the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection and FirstLight Power Resources Inc. will discuss "Deep Draw-Downs and Management of Eurasian Watermilfoil at Candlewood Lake."
