Among some of Paulo’s Favorite designs are: The Producers and I love you, You’re perfect, Now change! for Seven Angels Theatre. The US premier of The Secret of Sherlock Holmes at Shakespeare and Company as well as the world premier of the Book of The Dun Cow and Fleet Week (Musical). He has worked with experimental theatre group, Double Edge Theatre, on the design and dramaturgy of Master and Margarita and Don Quixote.
Paulo worked for many years as a project manager and set designer for G.W. Mercier Theatrical Designs where he worked on the design of numerous productions such as Finding Nemo The Musical at Walt Disney World, Critter Castaways at the Busch Gardens, Average Family for the Children’s Theatre of Minneapolis, Splitting Infinity, Urinetown, Cabaret, Vigil among others for Geva Theatre. He has collaborated with Karl Eigsti on the design of Tommy for Spingold Theatre and worked as a design assistant for Anje Ellermann on Passin’ it On, Nine Parts of Desire, and the Tenderland. Paulo holds an MFA from Brandeis University in Theatre Set design and is an alum of Western Connecticut State University with a BA in Fine Arts (Painting & Sculpture).
