David Baranowski

David is a highly versatile musician, performing on piano, keyboards, organ, and harpsichord. Baranowski is the accompanist and assistant music director for the Westchester Choral Society, the Hudson Chorale and the Kent Singers. He has performed in many facets for these organizations: most recently as the piano soloist for Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, the organist for Bach’s Weihnachts Oratorium, and as harpsichordist for Haydn’s Creation. For the past 15 years, he has been touring internationally with rock icon Ritchie Blackmore as a keyboardist and

singer. He has played over 150 concerts and visited nearly 25 countries as a member of Blackmore’s Night, which has been on the charts in Germany, the Czech Republic, England, and the United States. Baranowski has appeared on German television multiple times and was featured on the prime-time program Hit Giganten as well as Fernsehgarten, reaching millions of viewers. In the fall of 2010, Baranowski began collaboration with Irish singer and composer Julie Feeney. He performed 10 concerts with Feeney at the Irish Arts Center in Manhattan, and many more in the area. Baranowski is currently the Director of Music at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Danbury CT, and on staff at Western Connecticut State University. He has studied piano with Paul Ostrovsky and Steven Lubin, organ with Robert Fertitta, and voice with Stefano Algieri. He holds his B.F.A. and M.F.A. from Purchase College Conservatory of Music.
