Kayla Kuzbel (2006)

Kayla Kuzbel, is a graduate of 2006 class Summa Cum Laude with a Double Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and English Professional Writing.  The spring after graduation, she made her off-Broadway debut with the WCSU Theatre Department. Immediately after, she worked on the Drama Desk Awards as well as the 2006 Tony Awards. Over the summer she was in the musical BAT BOY in CT and also was in the independent film BEING MICHAEL MADSEN with the alternate title TURNING THE TABLES directed by Michael Mongillo for Mean Time Productions. She worked as a library intern, a receptionist, and an usher at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam during their production of  PIPPIN.

She moved to Manhattan the fall after graduation. She is working with HHC Marketing, a marketing and promotions company that has such clients as JERSEY BOYS, MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT, and the revival of CHICAGO which just marked its 10th anniversary. She is just getting settled into city life and come the New Year, plans to study voice, dance, and acting in the city as well as audition.

Kayla says, "No one said that moving was going to be easy, or that I was going to have money falling out my pockets, which I don't, but all the effort and struggle is worth it. If anyone from WestConn knows me, they know I'm a determined person."
