Student Leadership Recognition Banquet

Student Organizations will be asked to complete an SGA Annual Report that will be used to award the SLRB Committee Awards. Due March 10, 2017.

Student Organization Attendance Forms for individual students are due as soon as possible and no later than Friday. April 14, 2017.
Use the Additional Attendance Form to become a sponsor and/or invite additional students.
Invitations will be mailed out to Student Organization Presidents, Vice Presidents, Advisors, and honored guests. No additional invitations will be mailed unless specifically requested. If you were invited but cannot attend, you need to let us know before Friday, April 28, 2017 or your organization will be charged. This is also the cut-off date for names to be listed in the program for organizations and students alike.
If your student organization would like to become a sponsor and make a donation, the following levels are available.

Parents/Guests are very welcome to attend this special celebration but are asked to pay for their meal. Students should let us know if they would like their parents or other guests to be invited.
The Student Leadership Recognition Banquet is an annual event that celebrates and recognizes the achievements of Western's student leaders through a festive banquet and awards ceremony attended by students, parents, faculty and staff alike.
The banquet was first held in 1985 and has grown in attendance and significance ever since. Held at first on campus and then at various locations in the Greater Danbury area, the last few years have seen it held consistently at the elegant Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury. In 2011 and 2013 the banquet was held at The Matrix Conference and Banquet Center in the former Union Carbide building in Danbury but it returned to the Amber Room in 2014. In 2017 for the first time since the creation of this page, the banquet will be held at the Ethan Allen Hotel.
The event is held annually, usually in early May, and has grown from just a few to as many as 500 guests at one time. Every year two members of each student organization are invited to the banquet along with the organization's advisor. Additional club members and parents/guests may also be invited at cost and will be sent an invitation upon request.
