Faculty Biographical Sketches
Robin S. Goodrich, Department of Nursing
Ms. Robin S. Goodrich has been a member of the WCSU faculty since the spring 2007, first in the role of adjunct clinical faculty and joining the WCSU nursing department full- time as Assistant Professor of Nursing in the in Fall, 2007. She received her diploma from Arnot-Ogden Hospital School of Nursing, Elmira, NY (1987), BSN from the University of Phoenix (2004) and MSN from Western Connecticut State University (2007) in the clinical nurse specialist, nurse educator track.
Ms. Goodrich has been a practicing registered nurse for 20 years in the areas of medical-surgical, maternal-child, and neonatal intensive care nursing. She is certified by the National Certification Corporation (NCC) in neonatal intensive care nursing, and maintains professional practice in level III neonatal intensive care.
Ms. Goodrich is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International nursing honor society, and is Research and Scholarship chair for the Omicron Delta chapter. She is a member of Association for the Advancement of Educational Research (AAER) and the Association of Womens Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). Areas of research interests include art as documentation of the clinical experience and nursing specialty certification. She has presented her research findings in local, national and international forums including Western Research Day, the Association for the Advancement of Educational Research, and the 20th Annual Pacific Nursing Research Conference, Honolulu, HI (2007). Ms. Goodrich is a doctoral candidate at Teachers College, Columbia University.
