Nicole Olmstead breaks school record while finishing
seventh at New England Championships
NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA (Feb. 11) — Senior Nicole Olmstead (Southbury, CT) set a new school record on the one-meter board as she finished seventh at the New England Intercollegate Swimming and Diving Championship at UMass Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon.
Olmstead recorded a 332.70 after 11 dives, breaking Katherine Massicotte's record of 331.20, set in February 2006.
Freshman Danielle Core (Goshen, CT) finished in eight place with an 11-dive total of 281.15.
The Colonials will not compete in the three-meter event on Sunday, but their swimmers will compete at the NEISDA Swimming Championships next weekend in White River Junction, VT.
