CLERMONT, FL (Mar. 22) — notes from Samantha Avery, Sports Information Intern

Western scored a run in the second inning and four in the third inning.  In the top of the fifth inning, Williams College’s bats came alive against reliever Jackie Zilnicki (Riverhead, NY), forcing senior Magen Dargon (Trumbull, CT)back into the game.  Williams put four runs on the scoreboard, but in the bottom of the inning, Western came back to score three runs, ending the game early with a final score of 12-4.

Dargon collected the victory for the Colonials, striking out four batters and did not allow any runs.
