UMass Dartmouth scores second-half goal to beat Western, 1-0


NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA (Sep. 22) —  Jordan Sindo scored with 3:51 remaining in the game to lift the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over visiting Western Connecticut State University on Saturday afternoon.

The Corsairs, 6-1-1 overall and 2-0 in the Little East Conference, out shot the Colonials, 11-5 on the afternoon, Jack Holub (Sherman, CT) had another outstanding game between the pipes. He made five saves.

Mike Phelan registered two saves for the winners.

Western travels to Trinity College to take on the Bantams this Wednesday, September 29. Game time is set for 4 pm in the state's capital.
