Jason Ouellet
Head Coach
Seventh Season

Jason Ouellet enters his seventh season at the helm of the Western men’s lacrosse team after serving two years as an assistant to coach Rick McCarthy.

A year ago, the Colonials went 10-7 overall and were 4-3 in Little East Conference play and appeared in the LEC Tournament.

In 2008, Ouellet led the Colonials to the Little East Conference Tournament title and their first appearance in the NCAA Division III National Championships.

In his six previous season, Ouellet guided the Colonials to a winning record in three seasons, an overall record of 50-52, and has compiled a record of 19-20 in the Little East Conference.

Ouellet graduated from Avon Old Farms in 1997 where he played hockey and lacrosse. He was named to the All-Founders League during his senior year.

He went on to star in lacrosse at Hobart College and captained the team during his senior campaign in 2001. He was named to the Patriot League All-Star First Team in 2000 and 2001 and appeared in the North/South All-Star game.

The Cheshire resident coached for two seasons at Yale University following graduation from Hobart.

In January, 2010, Lason married Western's head women's lacrosse coach Jennifer (Burrows) Ouellet, and in July of 2011 they welcomed Ryder Ouellet to the Western Lacrosse family.
