DaQuan Brooks named Little East Men's Basketball Player of the Week
after becoming Western's all-time scorer

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA (Jan. 17) — Western Connecticut State University senior guard DaQuan Brooks (Atlanta, GA) has been named Little East Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, for the third time this season. Information below is for the week ending January 15.

DaQuan Brooks became the Western Connecticut all-time scorer this past week, putting an additional 22 points between the previous standard set by John Osborne '67 (1,823).

The point guard from Atlanta, Ga. averaged 35.5 points, five assists, and four rebounds to lead the No. 23 Colonials to a 1-1 week.

Brooks scored a career-high 46 points, including 30 in the second stanza, to lift Western Connecticut to a road
win at Keene State on Tuesday night. He filled up the box score against the Owls, pulling in seven rebounds and handing out five assists in 31 minutes of action.

Four days later, Brooks recorded 25 points and dished out five assists in a loss at Plymouth State. Brooks converted on a traditional threepoint play with six minutes remaining in the first half to set the school's scoring record.
