Welcome to Western Connecticut State University's Welcome Week Website.  For those students beginning school in the Fall of 2008, we're planning a very exciting fall orientation program for you.

When is Welcome Week?

Sunday, Aug. 31       Orientation - continues
Monday, Sept. 1       Labor Day - Orientation continues
Tuesday, Sept. 2 First day of classes
Wednesday, Sept. 3
     through Sunday, Sept. 7

Location:
Welcome Week activities will be held on both the Midtown and Westside campuses. Please visit our directions page, and our campus tour for more information.

What other orientation sessions are being held?

There are three early orientation sessions scheduled prior to Welcome Week.  They are:

What requirements are there before I am allowed to register?

The following information must be in place before you can register for classes:

  1. make your $200.00 non-refundable deposit
  2. send a copy of your childhood vaccinations, specifically the MMRs, to the Health Services Office (fax to 203-837-8583) – include your WCSU ID number on the fax – or bring this information with you when you come to register
  3. you will need to have taken any applicable placement test as noted in your admissions packet (Math, English, and Chemistry)

What about my parents?

There will be activities for your parents on Saturday, August 30th, such as the “Entering the Gates” ceremony, the “Opening Ceremony,” campus tours, alumni photo (if one or both of your parents are alumni), and parent workshops.  There is also a dinner for students and families that night.
