Last Updated: August 22, 2017
Welcome to Western Connecticut State University's Welcome Week website. For new students beginning school in the Fall of 2017, we're planning a very exciting fall orientation program.
The official first day of Welcome Week is Friday, August 25, 2017.
For now mark your calendars for ...
There is an early orientation session scheduled prior to Welcome Week.
If you missed June Orientation but were already accepted by the university, your class schedule will be sent to you in the mail. If you are just now being accepted by the university, please make an appointment with the Advisement Center at (203) 837-8397 to register, and then get your ID and computer accounts on your own schedule. Our offices are open Monday through Friday all summer long. The computer centers are even open on the weekends and some evenings. Check the individual webpages for office hours or contact the Admissions Office at 203-837-9000 with questions regarding your status.
Welcome Week is geared mostly towards students to
make them feel welcome and comfortable with their new surroundings.
However, there will be activities for parents on Friday, August 25, such
Alumni Legacy Photo

ceremony, the Opening Ceremony, and an afternoon
parent workshop. There is also a dinner for students and families
that afternoon. New students will eat for free, parents will be
asked to pay $10; siblings 12 and under pay $6.
