WestConn Events - MINORITIES IN MEDICINE LECTURE
The WCSU Minorities in Medicine Club will present a talk by Dr. Karen Morris-Priester at noon in Room 125 of the Science Building on the university's Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. Morris-Priester is an anesthesiologist and motivational speaker. The 45-year-old mother of five graduated from the Yale School of Medicine in 2007 and was the first grandmother to do so. Her story attracted the attention of talk show host Oprah Winfrey, who aired a segment on her. The talk will be free and the public is invited.
