WCSU theatre arts students to present 10-minute plays

DANBURY, CONN. — The Western Connecticut State University Department of Theatre Arts will present a Ten-Minute Play Festival, featuring plays directed and acted by students at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 20 and 21, 2013, and at 7 and 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, in the Reimold Theatre in Berkshire Hall on the university’s Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. The event is free and the public is invited. Donations to support the Department of Theatre Arts will be accepted.

On Wednesday, Nov. 20, plays will include:

“The Perfect Proposal” directed by Tom Swetz, stage-managed by Jessica Richetti and starring Sammy Panzarino, Alicia Augeri and Brie Danas.

“Death Knocks” directed by Rhys Kieman, stage-managed by Dylan Dineen and starring Matt Terzigni and Victoria Rojas.

“The Unintended Video” directed by Carly Neil, stage-managed by Matthew Terzigni and starring Nick Raines and Margaret Buzak.

“Variations on the Death of Trotsky” directed by Brianna Bagley, stage-managed by Ryan Naso and starring Joe DeVellis, Hannah Bellows and Paul Dente.

“Intermission” directed by Mick Gloss, stage-managed by Leroy Walton and starring Brodey Ott, Joshua Hahn, Kim Lustig, Julia Stelzig, Rebecca Hayes and Caitlin White.

“Haunted” directed by Angelica Licari, stage-managed by Richard Frye and starring Connor Thompson, Kayla Murphy, Kate Morris and Karl Hinger.

“Soft Dude” directed by James Goggin, stage-managed by Colin Murray and starring David Fejes and Alexis Willoughby.

“Words, Words, Words” directed by Austin Charles, stage-managed by Katrina Sebastian and starring Nick Raines, Manuel Torres and Nicole Currier.

 

On Thursday, Nov. 21, plays will include:

“Scripted” directed by Jordan Andrews, stage-managed by Dhafir Jackson and starring Jim O’Reilly and Kasey Smith.

“The Chocolate Affair” directed by Brittany Wigglesworth, stage-managed by Hannah Bellows and starring Katelyn Levielle, Louis Ruggiero and Alex Allyn.

“A Play for Frank and Liz” directed by Laura O’Donoghue, stage-managed by Brianna Ingraham and starring Carly Hodosi and Johannes Thaler.

“Where’s the Beer?” directed by Abigail Riss, stage-managed by Nicole Riss and starring Sean Pultz.

“On the Shelf for the Holidays” directed by Katie Rudnicki, stage-managed by Ryan Ronan and starring Sam Strizver and Colleen Gunning.

“Ten Dollar Drinks” directed by Melissa Ottaviano and starring Alexis Willoughby and Alexandra Olinyk.

“Traces of Memory” directed by Tyler Caisse, stage-managed by Kasey Smith and starring Kera Lalli and Aimee M’Sadoques.

“Blue Christmas” directed by Myles Tripp, stage-managed by Colleen Gunning and starring Michael Batista and Valarie Henry.

 

On Friday, Nov. 22, the 7 p.m. performance will include the plays that were performed on Nov. 20, and the 9 p.m. performance will include the plays that were performed on Nov. 21.
