Dear Campus Community,

In September 2013, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) will assess the university for reaccreditation.

In preparation for this assessment, President Schmotter established in May 2011 a Steering committee to manage the university’s reaccreditation effort and prepare a Self-Study.  The Self-Study demonstrates how well the university meets NEASC’s Standards for Accreditation.

Many colleagues, both faculty and staff, have contributed to the Self-Study draft over the past 18 months.  It is now ready to be reviewed by the Steering Committee and the campus community for final revisions.  We encourage your feedback and welcome your comments.

All student, faculty and staff comments will be posted online.  In addition, there will be three Open Forums to critique the draft and share observations.

  • Monday, April 29 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. in the Midtown Student Center, room 201 (for faculty & staff)
  • Monday, April 29 from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the Midtown Student Center, room 201 (for students)
  • Tuesday, April 30 from 2 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in Westside classroom building, room 218 (for faculty & staff)

Thank you, in advance, for participating in this important endeavor.
