Laboratory & Instrument Support Technician
University Assistant (15 hours/week)

 

The Physics, Astronomy & Meteorology Department is seeking a reliable, organized individual for a part-time (15 hours/week) position assisting with the set-up and testing of new meteorological equipment; working with telecommunications systems, and supporting equipment grant proposals. Previous experience with software (e.g., MATLAB, C, UNIX/LINUX), instruments and/or data loggers is preferred. Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Physics or Engineering. Some data processing and analysis experience is suggested. Work hours are negotiable.  Salary is commensurate with experience ($18 to $23/hour). Position begins mid-September and ends April, 2009.
