Campus to campus 5K road race

The WCSU recreation Department will host its annual Campus-to-Campus 5K Road Race to benefit the WCSU student fitness and wellness programs.

Registration: 7:30 to 8:45 a.m., WCSU Westside campus.
Start: 9 a.m. (runners) / 9:05 a.m. (fitness walkers), WCSU Westside campus. End: WCSU Midtown campus. Open to the public. Cost is
$25 per person ($30 after the Oct. 4 pre-registration deadline.) New Balance Tech Shirt and race bag to the first 125 pre-registered runners or walkers. Participation is free for Western students (a $10 fee applies to students for New Balance Tech Shirt). Race day registration is available.

Plonia Nixon: A Retrospective (Art Viewing)

The Gallery at Higgins Hall is pleased to announce the Retrospective Exhibition of Plonia Nixon, a Department of Art faculty member since 1981. The exhibit will feature over 40 years of work spanning a range of styles and media including, drawings, paintings, pastels and collage.

Theatre Production: Two Nights Near Doolin

Alumni, students, parents and families are invited to attend the WCSU Department of Theatre Arts production: Two Nights Near Doolin, an original play by Louisa Burns-Bisogno, directed by Pam McDaniel, Associate Professor and Chair of the WCSU Department of Theatre Arts..

2 p.m., Reimold Theatre, Berkshire Hall, WCSU Midtown campus. Open to the public. Cost: free for WCSU students, general admission $20, seniors and non-WCSU students $15, and faculty and staff $10. To purchase ticket, visit www.wcsu.edu/tickets.
