cORROGATED WORLDS: THE WORK OF JAMES GRASHOW

The Visual & Performing Arts Center (VPAC) is pleased to announce the opening of their new Art Gallery with the works of James Grashow. Grashow is a renowned sculptor and woodcut artist known for his large-scale installations and delicate menageries constructed out of cardboard. HOMECOMING TAILGATING

Gather with friends and former classmates for a tailgating party prior to the Homecoming football game. Please read the university's Tailgating Rules and Regulations. Alumni groups wishing to set up a tent at tailgating or who have other special requests, please call the Office of Alumni Relations at (203) 837-8298.

12 to 5 p.m., Commuter Parking Lot, WCSU Westside campus. Open to alumni, faculty, staff, parents and students (must be 21 years and older to consume alcohol). $10 per carload; $50 per tent space; free for pedestrians.

Please note: tailgating is now allowed at all home WCSU football games. See the WCSU Tailgating Rules and Regulations 2014 for details.

ALUMNI HOSPITALITY TENT

Join alumni and friends for some good cheer, music and Karaoke at this traditional Homecoming favorite!

2 to 5 p.m., Alumni Hospitality Tent (across from the Westside Athletic Stadium), WCSU Westside campus.

Open to alumni, faculty, staff, parents and students (must be 21 years and older to consume alcohol). Admission to the tent is free. Beverages costs are: soda/water free, beer $1, wine $2. Sponsored by the WCSU Alumni Association. 

KIDS ACTIVITY TENT

Don't leave the kids at home. There are many activities for the little ones including a Hippity Hoppity Derby, caricaturist and kids craft area.

2 to 5 p.m., Kids Activity Tent next to the Alumni Hospitality Tent (across from the Westside Athletic Stadium), WCSU Westside campus. Free and open to children of alumni, students, parents, faculty and staff. Sponsored by the WCSU Alumni Association.

STREET FAIR

Support Western's student organizations at this Homecoming tradition.

2 to 4:30 p.m., Feldman Dr. (side of O'Neill Center), WCSU Westside campus.

Free and open to alumni, students, parents, faculty and staff. Sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA).

4TH ANNUAL HOMECOMING CHILI COOK-OFF COMPETITION

HOMECOMING FOOD VENDORS

Join the university community at this Homecoming feast.  Food Truck vendors will be serving some of your favorite sidewalk treats: Cup cakes, pizza, Mac & cheese, warm apple cider, sweet tea, coffee and decaf.

2:30 to 4:30 p.m., front of Athletic Stadium, WCSU Westside campus. Meal plan accepted. Open to the public. Cost per/person TBD

CLASS OF 1964 GOLDEN REUNION CELEBRATION

Take a trip down memory lane with the class of 1964 as they celebrate their 50th class reunion.

4:30 p.m. cocktail-jazz hour / 5:30 p.m. dinner, Westside Classroom Building Room 218, WCSU Westside campus.
Open to Class of 1964 classmates and guests. $60 per person (RSVP by Sept. 19).


Homecoming Game 2014

 

Come cheer on the colonials at homecoming 2014 at they take on Worcester State.  Game time is 5 p.m. at the Westside Athletic Center, WCSU Westside Campus.

THEATRE PRODUCTION: TWELFTH NIGHT

Alumni, students, parents and families are invited to attend the WCSU Department of Theatre Arts production: Twelfth Night, by William Shakespeare, directed by Pam McDaniel, Associate Professor and Chair of the WCSU Department of Theatre Arts.
