Dr. Wynn Gadkar-Wilcox is Associate Professor of History and Non-Western Cultures at Western Connecticut State University. He is also advisor to Clio and co-director of WCSUs Roger Sherman Debate Society. He is the author of many articles on the historiography and intellectual history of modern Vietnam.

 

John Read graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a B.A. in history in the spring of 2006. This paper is a revision of a paper he wrote for the advanced graduate seminar on historiography.

 

Joe Coll a senior history major at WCSU.

 

Cassandra Rowe is a junior anthropology major at WestConn.

 

Thomas Jacob is a sophomore a WCSU. He is a double major in music and professional writing.

 

Ryan Ford graduated from WCSU with a major in history in the fall of 2007. He is now taking graduate courses at Georgia Southern University and preparing to apply for Ph.D. programs in Southeast Asian History.

 

Eugene T. Fox is a graduate student majoring in history at WCSU. He serves as a board member of the Graduate Student Union at Western Connecticut State University. He is interested in the study of the intellectual, political and social forces in play in Europe, Asia and the United States in the 1930's.

 

Kristin Weinkauf is 25, and a creative writing major, with a minor in art. As a senior at W.C.S.U. She is inspired by the unusual, a good cup of coffee, or an exciting idea. She hope's to pursue a career in writing for young adults.
