Cohort 2 Update

Many of you might remember that Holli Levy had her article “Meeting the Needs of All Students through Differentiated Instruction: Helping Every Child Reach and Exceed Standards” published in the March/April 2008 edition of The Clearing House. Holli just found out that this article was reprinted in Annual Editions: Educational Psychology 09/10 (Authors: Kathleen Cauley; Gina Pannozzo; McGraw-Hill Higher Education ISBN-13: 9780073516400).

Annual Editions
is designed to provide access to a wide range of current articles from some of the most respected magazines, newspapers, and journals published today. Annual Editions are updated on a regular basis through a continuous monitoring of over 300 periodical sources. The articles selected are authored by prominent scholars, researchers, and commentators writing for a general audience.

MFA Author's Book is a Hit

Daniel Asa Rose, one of WestConn's writers in residence for the MFA in Professional Writing program, has recently authored a book which recently received a big contract from a major house and has been getting glowing reviews.

The book is titled "LARRY'S KIDNEY: Being the True Story of How I Found Myself in China With My Black-Sheep Cousin and His Mail-Order Bride, Skirting the Law to Get Him a Transplant ... and Save His Life"  (Morrow, May 12, 2009)

“A satisfying, hysterical page-turner that will captivate fans of travel writing and family narratives, with special interest for anyone who's helped a love one through serious illness.” Publishers Weekly (starred review)

"A side-splitting tour de force that … will resonate with readers concerned about the plight of American patients who may be relegated for years to an organ transplant waiting list.” (Library Journal)
